JAMMU, July 18: Police arrested a man along with 42 pouches of illicit liquor near Mishriwala area, falling under the jurisdiction of Kanachack police station.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Kanachack police station led by SHO Inspector Rajesh Sharma laid a naka near Mishriwala and intercepted a person, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police recovered 42 pouches of illicit liquor from the possession of the man and arrested him on the spot.
The accused has been identified as Raj Kumar alias Raju, son of Bela Ram, a resident of Halqa Kullian.
A case under Excise Act has been registered at Kanachack police station and investigation started.
