AMRITSAR, July 18: Furthering the plan of ‘Made in India’, as many as 241 B Tech students of ECE, IT and CSE Department displayed their projects at the ‘Annual Project Exhibition’ at Global Institutes Amritsar at the Department of Management & Emerging Technologies.
On this occasion, Vice Chairman Global Institutes Dr Akashdeep Singh, Prof (Dr) Rajesh Goel, Director GIA, Prof Neetu Gupta HoD (ECE), discussed the goal of their projects, encouraged students and selected best of the projects that would have pride of place in the upcoming ‘Global Institutes Library and Museum’ of the Institute.
The Vice Chairman said -“The projects were judged on the basis of innovative quality, rarity, thoughtfulness, workability, ease of operation, longevity, aesthetics and accuracy.”
In B Tech’s Electronic Computer Engineering (ECE) Department, the first prize was shared amongst two including the innovative ‘Weather monitoring system’ and the ‘low cost smart wheelchair’ followed by a ‘Baby Incubator’ project that was adjudged for the second position.
In BTech’s Information Technology (IT) Department, the first three positions were bagged by projects that included ‘Network and system security’, ‘Amgen Congress’ and ‘Go Safe’ respectively .
In BTech’s Computer Science Engineering (CSE) Department ‘religious app’ won top honors while Project ‘Next Destination’ and ‘BTES Application’ won second and third prize respectively
Another interesting application was ‘Rio Olympics’- The objective of this project is to make a system through which user can view the events where they are to be held and view the profile of the players along with the events in which they will participate. The user can also views the photos, videos, match schedule etc of the players and the grounds. Other projects of interest include ‘Automatic solar water filling plant’, anti-accident vehicle, coal mining alarm system, ultrasonic distance sensor, Automatic street-light power saving system, ultrasonic distance sensor, Notes Sharing , Spend Smart, Easy Bargain, Clever Wallet, Job Portal, Houzz- for interior decoration ideas.
