RAMBAN, Mar 22: A man has been arrested along with large quantity of illicit liquor from vegetable market at Banihal.
As per police sources, during patrolling in vegetable market area, a team from Banihal police station arrested a person along with 50 pouches of illicit liquor.
The accused has been identified as Nisar Ahmed, son of Mohammad Sheikh, a resident of Phalpura Doligam, Tehsil Banihal.
A case under FIR Number 33/16 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered against the accused at police station Banihal and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Banihal police station Inspector Nazir Ahmed Dar made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Banihal Mohammad Rafiq and SSP Ramban Randeep Kumar.
