JAMMU, Apr 4: A man has been arrested for firing on the residence of a contractor in Gandhi Nagar area yesterday night.
The arrested person has been identified as Ajay Singh, son of Tirloki Nath.
As reported, some unknown persons travelling in a car opened fire at the residence of contractor Choudhary Nagar Singh at Gandhi Nagar yesterday night. In firing, no one was injured. However, the main gate of the house and a car bearing registration number HP38F-6187 suffered damage. Cartridges were also recovered from in and outside the residence of the contractor.
A case under relevant Sections stands registered at Police Station Gandhi Nagar and hunt is going on to nab the associates of the arrested man.
The arrest was made by SHO Gandhi Nagar Inspector Bharat Sharma under the supervision of SDPO South Purshotam Mengi and SP South Deepak Digra.
