KISHTWAR, Mar 22: Atholi police arrested a man for abducting a minor girl.
As per police sources, on March 15 this year, a complaint was lodged by a family with Police Station Atholi stating that their minor daughter has been kidnapped by some unknown person from Girls Higher Secondary School Atholi where she went for studies.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 6/18 under Sections 363 and 109 RPC was registered at Police Station Atholi and investigations started.
During the course of investigation, police rounded up various suspects and finally reached to the conclusion that the minor girl has been kidnapped by Aseer Ahmed Mouchi, son of Wazir Mohammad Mouchi of village Beoli District Doda.
After hectic efforts, police traced the location of the kidnapper in district Rajouri.
Police parties led by SHO Atholi Inspector Raj Paul Singh under the directions of the SSP Kishtwar Abrar Chowdhary conducted midnight raids at various suspected places in Rajouri and finally rescued the kidnapped girl and arrested the accused from village Kheora in District Rajouri near Degree College Rajouri.
The girl has been handed over to family members after conducting medical examination.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
