JAMMU, June 17: A man allegedly committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at his residence in Kotli Shah Doula here, police sources said.
The deceased was identified as Davinder Singh, son of Maan Singh, a resident of Kotli Shah Doula, Tehsil RS Pura District Jammu.
He was initially shifted to hospital in RS Pura in unconscious state and later referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu, where he failed to respond to the treatment and died.
The body of the deceased has been shifted to mortuary of GMCH Jammu for post-mortem.
RS Pura Police has taken cognizance in this regard.
