Malik, others detained in South Kashmir

SRINAGAR, May 25: Chairman Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik who was scheduled to start his people’s contact campaign today, was detained along with other JKLF leaders near Pulwama when he was on his way to Rajpora.
Those detained with him included Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi, Sheikh Abdul Rashid, and Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri. The JKLF leaders were lodged at Police Station Rajpora.
A JKLF spokesman strongly condemned the arrests and banning the peaceful public contact campaign.
