KATHUA, Dec 10: The dead body of a middle aged man was recovered from Lakhanpur area early this morning.
According to a police spokesperson, body was recovered from 14 miles stone on railway track at Lakhanpur by Railway police. It was shifted to the mortuary of District Hospital, Kathua.
The deceased was later identified as Rajinder Singh, son of Dharma Singh, resident of Hamirpur (HP) and driver by profession. Later, his family members were informed and his body was handed over to them after completing legal formalities.
A case in this regard has been registered at Govindsar Railway Police Station. The police has started inquest proceedings under section 174CrPC.
