NEW DELHI, June 14:
The makers of ‘Indu Sarkar’, a film said to be based on the 1975 emergency, today released the poster of the film featuring actor Neil Mukesh as former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi’s son Sanjay Gandhi.
Directed by the award winning director Madhur Bhandarkar, ‘Indu Sarkar’ is a film based in the 1975 emergency. Written by Sanjay Chhel, the film, produced by Bhandarkar Entertainment and Mega Bollywood Private Limited, is based on the 21-month long period from 1975 to 1977, when the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi had declared a state of emergency across the country.
The film stars Neil Nitin Mukesh and Kirti Kulhari, Tota Roy Chowdhury and Anupam Kher in key roles. The film, whose music is composed by Anu Malik and Bappi Lahiri, is set to release on July 28. The film has created a lot of buzz among cinegoers ever since it was announced. (UNI)
