RAJOURI, Jan 11: The Indian Army in its continued mission of serving the people of Jammu and Kashmir by creating infrastructure development in the region, today dedicated a newly constructed large water tank at the famous shrine of Shahdara Sharief in Thanna Mandi area to the general public.
Maj Gen PS Bajwa, GOC, CIF (R) inaugurated one lakh liter water storage tank at the religious shrine of Shahdara Sharief, in Thannamandi, under Sadbhavana project, under the aegis of Headquarters Counter Insurgency Force (Romeo).
Brig 38 RR, Commanding Officer 38 RR, SDM Thanna Mandi, Tehsildar Thanna Mandi President MC Thanna Mandi, BDC Chairperson Rozy Zaffar and large number of local prominent persons were present on the occasion.
Qayoom Dar, Chief Administrator, Shahdara Sharief shrine and those present whole heartedly expressed their gratitude towards Army and said that Army has always been helpful and alive to the aspirations of the people.
The event evoked considerable goodwill for the Army and is bound to assist in improving the civil military- relations and in winning the hearts and minds of the people in the region.
