JAMMU, Sept 1: Mahant Manjit Singh Dera Baba Nangali Sahib and former Member Legislative Council (MLC), Vikram Randhawa, today kick-started construction work of a road at Karan Bagh Gadigarh in Gandhi Nagar assembly segment.
While speaking on the occasion Randhawa said that all unconnected hamlets of the area would be provided all weather road links. Referring to the construction of new road, Randhawa said that it was a long pending demand of the locals of the area as there was no all-weather road connectivity to the locality and the demand was raised before him.
He said that the issue was taken up with the Public Works Department (PWD) and after brief exercise, the tender was floated and today finally the work has been started by PWD Division No-1 at an estimated cost of Rs 18 lakh.
“I feel myself blessed that the work has been started today in the presence of Mahant Shri Manjit Singh”, Randhawa added. He sought the blessings of Mahant Shri Manjit Singh and assured him that all Sikh dominated hamlets would be developed on priority.
He said that many leaders have used this particular community for mere vote banks but BJP is committed for their welfare and upliftment.
Mahant Manjit Singh while speaking on the occasion showered his blessings on the former MLC and UT Secretary BJP for his sincere efforts in mitigating genuine issues of the people. He blessed him with good health and bright future in the coming years.
