JAMMU, Sept 1: Director Finance, J&K Education Department, Iftikhar Hussain Chauhan has been elected as president of J&K Finance and Accounts Society (JAKFA).
The new office bearers of the JAKFA were elected today through on-line elections held in a democratic way in Jammu under the supervision of Election Commissioner-Ashok Kumar and Anil Dogra (Returning Officer).
A spokesman of the JAKFA said that this is a society of senior officers of Finance Deptt which is being regulated through executive members. The tenure of earlier executive body has expired and the society elected its new office bearers today.
While Iftikhar Hussain Chauhan, Director Finance Education Deptt, J&K has been elected as president, Sonam Singh Accounts Officer as vice president (Jammu); Ashraf Haqla FA/CAO PHE Kashmir as general secretary whereas, Yasir Arafat has been elected as vice president for Kashmir unopposed.
The polling percentage remained 92% and after the declaration of results by Returning Officer, the newly elected team of JAKFA extended gratitude to all the voters and Election Commission for conducting the election in smooth and transparent manners and assured them that they will work for the betterment of cadre and raise their issues in a positive and vibrant manner.
