JAMMU, Sept 28: In order to present united voice of J&K Sikhs, for the resolution and effective follow up of long pending demands and burning issues, chief of Dera Nangali Sahib, Mahant Manjit Singh in a new initiative has constituted a coordination committee under the chairmanship of S. Ajit Singh, Chairman All J&K Transport Welfare Association, comprising of prominent Sikh leaders, intellectuals and presidents of all DGPCs in J&K UT.
While addressing the large gathering of Sikh community at Digiana Ashram/ Gurdwara today Mahant Manjit Singh expressed serious concern over neglecting entire Sikh community in J&K and said due to lack of our united voice, we have further suffered a lot in every sphere of life.
While reminding all major pending religious and political demands of Sikh community in J&K, Mahant stressed for at least immediate justice in the matter of Punjabi language, Anand Marriage Act,  induction in PSC as member, statue of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur and justice to microscopic minority sikh community in kashmir valley at par with Kashmiri Pandits (including SRO 425) and said now this new Coordination Committee of J&K Sikhs under the chairmanship of Ajit Singh will strive for meaningful negotiations and follow up of burning demands and issues of Sikh community.
It’s for the first time that Mahant Manjit Singh has created such broad based and unified panel of  Sikhs from entire J&K. An appeal was made to all District Gurudwara Prabandhak Committees to extend full cooperation and support to this committee headed by Ajit Singh.
