JAMMU, Dec 12: Jammu Central Mahajan Sabha is celebrating the 147th birth anniversary of Sher-e-Duggar Lala Hans Raj Mahajan and 124th birth anniversary of former Chief Justice, Dr Mehar Chand Mahajan on December 15 at Mahajan Hall Shalamar Road here.
This was disclosed by Vinod Gupta president Central Mahajan Sabha while talking to reporters today. He made an appeal to members of Mahajan Community to attend the function in large numbers and make it a grand success.
He said the newly married Mahajan couples who had solemnized their marriages without dowry will be felicitated in the function. Besides, the Mahajan students who qualified Civil Services examinations, those community students who were selected in MBBS, MD and MS courses or got positions in academic courses right from Class 10th will be felicitated during the function. In addition to it the winners in sports activities at national and international events will also be felicitated.
Prominent personalities of Mahajan community like former MoS and MLA Jammu West Assembly segment, Prof Chaman Lal Gupta, Savita Gupta former Mayor South Delhi, Subash Gupta and Naresh Gupta MLCs, Ved Mahajan ex MLC, Rattan Lal Gupta, senior NC leader, T R Gupta and Amarnath Gupta chief Patron of the Sabha will grace the occasion.
Chander Mohan Sharma general secretary of the Sabha, Rattan Hindu, Amar Chand, Om Gupta, Pawan Gupta, Bimal Gupta, Dr Mohan Lal, Ved Gupta and Yash Pal Gupta were also present in the press conference.
