JAMMU, May 2: Calling upon party workers to reach to the masses to solve their day today problems, spokesman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ved Mahajan said that it is need of the hour to educate the people to take benefits of the pro-people policies being started by the PDP led coalition government in the State.
Addressing a meeting of party card holders and senior workers of Jammu East, Ved Mahajan said that coalition Government has formulated comprehensive policies for the growth and development of the all regions and sub-regions of the State.
He said that during its one month tenure, Government has tried to reach to the every section of the society and serious efforts have been made to address grievances of the common masses.
Mahajan mentioned that Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti had conducted tour of the Jammu district during the last week and started number of developmental projects in this region.
He added that Government is committed to set up a system where every individual will get equal opportunity to socio-economic growth and development.
He said that present government is religiously pursuing pro-people agenda of late Mufti Mohamamd Sayeed, who had a vision to make to Jammu and Kashmir an ideal State in the country.
Zaffar Khan, Swarn Singh Shantyand many others were present in the meeting.
During the meeting, PDP spokesperson distributed membership cards among card holders. PDP workers briefed party leader about non availability of ration in the Government run depots. They strongly demanded that supply of ration should be streamlined to minimize hardship being faced by the poor and lower middle class of the society. Furthermore, workers also expressed their anguish over unscheduled power curtailments in the city. They regretted that unscheduled power curtailment has become a routine affair in the city.
On this occasion, Sohit Sharma, Zonal President nominated Sanjay Gupta as President, Ravi Babber as Senior Vice Presivent, Nitish Malbotra as Vice President, Manohar Sharma as General Secretary and Amit Gupta as Youth President for Ward No 11.
