JAMMU, May 5: Ten lakh Mahajans are living in J&K and they had no representation in the Government.
This was stated by Vinod Gupta, president, Jammu Central Mahajan Sabha, who was the chief guest in a function organised by Mahajan community people residing in Channi Himmat, here today.
Vinod Gupta recalled the role played by Lala Hans Raj Mahajan and Justice Mehar Chand Mahajan for the upliftment of the Mahajan community people.
The other speakers stressed upon the upliftment of the poor Mahajan families living in Channi Himmat.
Mohan Lal Gupta, ex-president of Channi Himmat Mahajan Sabha, Raj Kumar Gupta, Omkar Gupta, Ashok Jandiyal, Kedar Nath Gupta, Jagdish Lal Gupta and Kewal Gupta were also present.
The whole programme was anchored by Hriday Chander Vaid.
