JAMMU, Nov 19: The Tourism Department has given magisterial powers to all CEOs of the Tourism Developmental Authorities (TDAs) that will empower them to on-the-spot action against encroachers and violators in their jurisdictions.
“In another step the AOs of the respective authorities have been given DDO powers to streamline the financial system in the said authorities,” Secretary Tourism Farooq A Shah told Excelsior.
Mr Shah said that this step is aimed to speed up the developmental work in the tourism sector so that the dream of Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed is realised on time. He said the CM wants to see Jammu and Kashmir as one of the best tourism destination in the world.
“The authority delegated has made the officers responsible to be transparent and to work in a hassle free work culture,” he said.
