SRINAGAR, Aug 25: On completion of tenure, Lt. Gen Subrata Saha, GOC 15 Corps, is moving to Army Hqrs this week to take over the key assignment of DGMO.
On the eve of his departure, Lt. Gen. Saha called on Governor N.N. Vohra, at the Raj Bhavan, along with Lt. Gen. S.K. Dua who would be taking over as GOC 15 Corps tomorrow.
The Governor discussed with both the Generals issues relating to the recent step-up in the attempts at infiltration and the continuing cease-fire violations across the LoC.
Welcoming Lt. Gen Dua, the Governor wished Lt. Gen Saha high success in the crucial assignment he was taking over.
Meanwhile, Shiv Narayan Singh, PRO, Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), called on Governor and informed him about various important matters of high public interest and the feedback he had gained during the course of his travels to all parts of the State.
Mr. Singh also raised issue about the adverse consequences of Pakistan’s stepping up of activities along the LoC.
