LPG issue taken up with Centre: Sagar

SRINAGAR, Oct 7:  Asserting that the issue of LPG distribution has already  been taken up the with the Centre, the Minister for Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs,  Ali Mohammad Sagar has said that the Government is keen to find out a workable mechanism, so that the people do not face any inconvenience.
The Minister was interacting with scores of deputations of different localities during his extensive tour of the Srinagar city today. He was accompanied by senior officers of different Departments and District Administration.
The Minister said that the Chief Minister has also passed the directions to the CAPD Minister to ensure that the proper mechanism is found, so that the people get hassles free LPG. He said that the concerned Ministry has already taken up the issue with the Centre and hopefully headway is expected in near future.
Mr. Sagar also inspected the restoration work of Dastagir Sahib Shrine and directed the officers to ensure that it gets completed as early as possible. He also asked the executing agency to work in tandem with the other concerned, so that it is renovated in accordance with the original design and architectural pattern.
The Minister also announced an amount of Rs. 30 lakh out of his Constituency Development Fund for undertaking the developmental works in Rishi Mohalla, Miskeen Bagh, Baghi Roop Singh, Khalifapora, Raizayat Taing, and other areas of Khanyar Constituency.
Sagar also inspected the pace of work on the community hall at Aram Masjid, Khanyar and was told that the same would be completed very soon and available for inauguration to the public in the first week of November this year.
