LPEF pleads for release of 6% DA

JAMMU, Sept 10: All J&K Low Paid Employees Federation (LPEF) today made a strong plea to the State Government to immediately release 6% DA installment in cash in respect of State employees and pensioners.
In a statement issued here, LPEF president, Abdul Majid Khan, said that the Central Government has already released 6% DA in favour of its employees so following the same lines the State Government should also release the same in favour of its employees and pensioners, which are already facing financial hardships due to unprecedented price rise of essential commodities including onion and pulses.
He also reiterated the demand of merger of 50% DA in basic pay or pension as per past practice, enhancing of medical allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 1000, revision of minimum daily wage to Rs 350, etc.
