JAMMU, Dec 22: A massive rally was held here today by hundreds of employees, pensioners, daily wagers and village guards demanding implementation of Seventh Pay Commission immediately.
The rally was led by Kabla Singh president LPEF Kathua.
The employees from Kathua, Billawar, Hiranagar, Basholi tehsils participated in the rally. Shouting slogans in support of their demand they stressed on immediate implementation of Seventh Pay Commission in the State.
They also demanded release of due installment of DA from July this year, enhancement of minimum wages to Rs 350, Medical Allowance to Rs 1000, providing of adequate funds for payment of salary to teachers working under centrally sponsored schemes like RAMSA,SSA in time and clearance of their pending salary arrears, regularization of daily wagers, CP and Need base workers including those engaged after 1994 and converting the village guards as class fourth employees besides raising their remuneration at par with minimum wages till decision in implemented.
