JAMMU, Nov 16: A Special Police Officer (SPO) of Jammu and Kashmir displayed act of honesty by returning the lost purse containing thousands of rupees to its owner.
As per police sources, yesterday SPO Ganesh Dass of Police Station Akhnoor while on duty at Fawara Chowk found one purse containing thousands of rupees, one key and a visiting card of one Goldsmith which he handed over to SHO Akhnoor.
SHO Akhnoor Inspector Pardeep Sharma conducted enquiry and found the owner of purse who was identified as Sudesh Devi, wife of Tara Chand of Sohal Gurah, Akhnoor.
The lady was called at Fawara Chowk, Akhnoor and the purse was handed over to her.
