REASI, Mar 8: Dilapidated condition of the road to District Hospital and Government Degree College is inviting accidents and injuries to two-wheeler riders as well as pedestrians.
Because of extremely bad condition of the stretch from Nai Basti area, a number of two-wheelers have skidded off the road causing injuries to the riders. Rainfall for the three consecutive days has worsened the condition.
According to the locals, the road was damaged by PHE authorities for laying water supply pipes. Even after more than two months since completion of the pipe laying work by PHE, the PWD(R&B) did not repair the road.
This one of the busiest roads in Reasi town as it leads to a number of institutes besides District Hospital and Government Degree College. Despite repeated appeals to the concerned authorities and the District administration, no action has been taken to repair the road, alleged the locals.
