SAMBA, Sept 17: The locals staged a protest here under the leadership of Retd Captain Inder Singh, President Rajput Sabha Samba.
The protestors held demonstration over the issue of wards of the municipal committee. They demanded re-consideration of wards limits of the municipal committee.
Amid slogans against the Government and the district administration, the protestors took out a rally, which concluded at DC Office.
Later, DC Samba held meeting with the protestors and listened to their grievances. The protesting people also submitted memorandum to DC.
DC gave patient hearing to the issue raised by the protestors and assured to take up the matter with the Chief Secretary for redressal.
On the assurance, the protestors dispersed.
