SAMBA, Dec 14: A team of Legal Metrology Department from Samba today conducted inspection in various industrial units in Samba and some shops at Vijaypur and recovered a fine of Rs 11,500 from the defaulters.
The LMD team led by Assistant Controller, Samba Anita Sharma and assisted by Inspector Narinder Kumar conducted inspection of various industrial units at IGC Phase-I and Phase-II Samba and impose heavy fine on the owners. Four units were manufacturing soap, one lead and two cement. Rs 10,000 fine was imposed on them.
At Vijaypur and Ramgarh five cases were booked by the team and a fine of Rs 1500 was imposed on the defaulters.
The LMD team also conducted a consumer awareness camp at Govt High School Patti in Vijaypur.
