REASI, Oct 7: Police today foiled an attempt of liquor smuggling to holy town Katra and arrested a bootlegger besides recovering 33 poly pouches of illicit liquor from his possession,
A Police team, headed by SHO Reasi, Inspector Kuldeep Krishan, intercepted the accused, identified as Bicku Thappa of Aghar Jitto, from Bus Stand Reasi, when he was on way to Katra.
During frisking of the accused, 38 Poly pouches of J&K Excise liquor were recovered from his possession. Police arrested the accused and seized the liquor pouches.
In this connection, a case under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Reasi.
