UDHAMPUR, Nov 21: Basantgarh Police today seized 5 liters of liquor and destroyed 60 liters of lahan from a house.
As per reports, a team from Basantgarh Police Station, led by SHO Inspector Kulbir Singh Choudhary, under the supervision of SDPO Ramnagar GR Bhardwaj, conducted raid in the house of Krishan Chand, son of Indru of Artal, Basantgarh and recovered 05 liters of liquor. Around 60 liters of Lahan, being used for brewing liquor, was also recovered and destroyed on the spot.
After seeing the police party, accused Krishan Chand fled away from the spot. The search of accused is going on.
In this regard, a case FIR number 40, under section 48-E of Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Basantgarh and investigation is under progress.
