RAJOURI, Mar 2: The Excise sleuths today seized 115 liters of illicit liquor, 570 kgs of Lahan while smashed a working still during raids in district Rajouri. Five persons including two women were also arrested.
Official sources said that Excise team led by Inspector Dr Sajad Majid under the supervision of ETO Varinder Singh Pawar, conducted raids at BG, Patrara, Bajabain, Rehan, Lamberi, Brari, Dhabbar, Seri Syal and Chingus area and arrested five persons. They included Balwant Singh from Baja Bain, Samitra Devi from Dabbar, Showkat Hussain from Rehan, Devi Rani from Dhabbar and Vikas Kumar from Lamberi. The team also seized 570 kg of Lahan and 115 ltrs of illicit liquor. A working still was also smashed. The arrested persons were booked under Excise Act.
