JAMMU, Aug 5: Bari Brahmana Industrial Association has expressed serious concern over the damage caused to some industrial units in Bari Brahmana area during the intervening night of August 4 and 5.
A meeting of Bari Brahmana Industries Assoc-iation was held here under the presidentship of Lalit Mahajan, president, BBIA in presence of Suresh Mahajan, vice president, Ajay Langer, general secretary, Vivek Singhal, secretary, Viraaj Malhotra treasurer BBIA and other members of the Association, with regard to the damages caused to the industrial units due to lightning and thunderstorm in the mid- night of August 4 and 5 of August 2017.
During the course of discussions, Romesh Gupta of M/s Trikuta Steel Rolling Mills informed the members present in the meeting about the massive damage occurred to their Shed and Plant & Machinery due to heavy storm, thundering and lightning resulting huge financial losses to the unit holders. As confirmed by the Metrological Department Jammu, the mishap was happened at 1 AM on August 5, 2017.
BBIA appealed the Chander Parkash, Industries & Commerce Minister to look it the matter & compensate the unit holder for the damages occurred to his unit due to natural calamity.
