Life returns to normal in Tral in south Kashmir after 2 days of strike

SRINAGAR :  Life returned to normal today after remaining crippled for two days in Tral town of south Kashmir district of Pulwama, where people were demanding removal of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) bunker.    Shops and business establishments reopened this morning and traffic was plying on all routes normally in the entire Tral and adjoining areas, about 35 km from here in south Kashmir.    Work in government offices, banks and educational institutions were normal. However, a large number of security force and state police personnel remaine deployed in the town to foil any attempt to disturb the peace, particularly in the afternoon after Friday prayers.
Business and other activities remained crippled for two  days as traders had called for strike, demanding removal of CRPF bunker from the main town.
Traders called off the strike after there was assurance by the administration to traders about removal of bunker, official source said.
