JAMMU, Sept 9: The license of a medical shop involved in Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act case has been suspended and the shop has been sealed.
As per police sources, on September 7 this year, a team from Bhatindi Police Post led by SI Shahnawaz Giri arrested a person Mudassar Ahmed, son of Mohammad Yaseen of District Ramban, at present Peer Bagh Colony Sunjwan along with 158 intoxicant capsules.
The accused operated a medical shop under the name and style “Rose Medical Hall” situated at Peer Bagh Colony on Bathandi-Sunjwan road.
Accordingly a case under FIR Number 249/19 under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Bahu Fort and investigation started.
In relation to this, the concerned Drug Inspector was requested to take appropriate action against the erring chemist.
Today, the Drug Inspector visited the premises along with the police team. After inspection, an order was passed by the Drug Inspector suspending the operation of the firm U/s 22(d) of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act 1940 in violation of conditions of license and the shop was sealed till further orders.
