UDHAMPUR, June 25: The licence of a driver has been suspended for three months for endangering human lives.
As per official spokesman, during checking conducted at Gandala road by ARTO Udhampur Rachna Sharma, a bus bearing registration number JK02AC-6267 was intercepted.
During checking, it was found that the vehicle was driven by the driver identified as Uttam Singh, son of Lal Singh on LMV licence.
The driver was carrying passengers more than the sitting capacity and also on the roof top of the bus, thereby endangering the human lives, the spokesman added.
Keeping in views the lenient perspective of the driver towards human lives, ARTO Udhampur Rachna Sharma suspended the licence of the driver for three month and debars him from driving any kind of vehicle during suspension period.
“The driving licence will be kept in the office of ARTO Udhampur till the suspension expires”, the spokesman informed.
