JAMMU, Feb 2: The Kashmiri Pandit Sabha (KPS) Jammu has termed the proposed launching of the special governance camp for displaced Kashmiri Pandits by the Lt.Governor, Manoj Sinha a good decision which will lead to confidence building in the exiled community.
In a statement issued here, today KPS president, K K Khosa said “This all encompassing and important camp will go a long way in creating much required awareness amongst the youth of the Kashmiri Pandit community about the various schemes and programmes of the UT Government meant for the upliftment of the youth and also providing them with necessary technical skills and required financial assistance to set up self employment units instead of looking for only government jobs”.
This initiative is not only laudable but is also a clear signal of the UT Government’s concern for the Kashmiri Pandit community as a whole and it’s youth in particular. Although such a camp should have been held much earlier yet the community does appreciate that it is being held at this point in time.
The Sabha is grateful for this initiative and is ready to offer it’s cooperation and support if required to make this initiative successful.
