Jammu, June 8: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday visited the historic Gada Dari Temple located within the Mubarak Mandi Heritage Complex in Jammu to inspect the damage caused to the centuries-old shrine.
During the visit, the Lieutenant Governor reviewed the extent of the damage and directed the concerned officials to undertake immediate measures for the restoration and preservation of the heritage structure. He emphasized the need to safeguard the region’s rich cultural and religious heritage and ensure that restoration work is carried out in a time-bound manner while maintaining the temple’s original architectural character.
Officials briefed the Lieutenant Governor about the circumstances leading to the damage and the proposed restoration plan. He instructed the administration and executing agencies to expedite the necessary conservation efforts and prevent any further deterioration of the historic site.
The Gada Dari Temple, situated within the iconic Mubarak Mandi complex, holds significant historical and religious importance and is regarded as an integral part of Jammu’s cultural legacy. (KNC)
