LEH, Oct 17: Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh Radha Krishna Mathur today reached New Delhi and met Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to discuss situation prevailing along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in the Eastern Ladakh.
Recently, 13th round of military talks between India and China had failed to make any headway in further disengagement from areas of conflict in Eastern Ladakh.
However, there was no official word on what transpired in the meeting between Rajnath Singh and Mathur but, according to sources, besides the Eastern Ladakh situation, Mathur also briefed the Defence Minister about infrastructure development projects especially close to the border areas.
Meanwhile, All Ladakh Unemployment Youth Association (ALUYA) along with various student bodies has decided to hold peaceful protest tomorrow over delay in permanent recruitment process in Ladakh.
