JAMMU/SRINAGAR/LEH, Oct 17: Ninety five persons today tested positive for COVID-19 in J&K and five in Ladakh.
Among 95 cases, 81 were recorded in Kashmir and 14 in Jammu region.
Doda district registered eight cases, Jammu three, Rajouri two and Poonch one while rest of districts in the Jammu region didn’t report any new cases today.
Forty two persons recovered from the virus leaving number of active positive cases in the Jammu region to 131.
Meanwhile, all five COVID positive cases in the UT of Ladakh were reported from Leh district.
Ladakh now has 46 active positive cases—45 in Leh and one in Kargil.
In Kashmir, Srinagar reported 40 cases, Baramulla 10, Budgam 13, Kupwara 5, Anantnag 6, Bandipora 5, Ganderbal 1 and Kulgam 1.
Moreover, the officials said that 107 more patients have recovered including 65 from Kashmir. So far 325793 patients have recovered, leaving active case tally at 843 including 712 in Kashmir.
