2 drug peddlers nabbed

SRINAGAR, Oct 17: Police today arrested two drug peddlers in Budgam and recovered contraband substances from their possession, besides, cash and cell phones.
Official sources said that Police party at a checkpoint established at Kill-Kadal Chadoora intercepted two persons in a suspicious condition.
“They have been identified as Farooq Abbas Koka, son of Abdul Majeed Koka and Sameer Ahmad Koka son of Farooq Ahmad Koka, both residents of Zinipora Chadoora,” police said.
During checking, police recovered 20 grams of heroin, a cash amount of Rs 18600/ and two cell phones from their possession. “They have been arrested and shifted to the police station where they remain in custody,” police said.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 177/2021 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Chadoora and further investigation has been initiated.
