RAJOURI, Jan 31:  A joint team of Forest and Wild Life Department from Nowshera captured a leopard from village Talla Tanda in Sunderbani area.
Official sources said that  a full grown leopard has created terror in this area for the last several weeks. The locals had reported the matter to the Wild Life Department also but no action was observed. Then locals of the area sought help of  some non-locals expert  in capturing animals. They laid a manually crafted trap and the wild beast’s foot was trapped in it near the village during  night.
The locals noticed in the morning  and then contacted forest officials at Nowshera. They along with wild life staff reached there and using tranquilizer, the team made leopard unconscious and then caged in a vehicle for further shifting to Wild Life Park Manda, in Jammu.
