KARGIL, Dec 12: A legal awareness camp was organized at revenue village Malbekh in Kargil on the topic `Rights of Women at Panchayat level’.
This programme was organized by District and Session Judge Kargil, Ashok Kumar Shavan, who is also Chairman of the District Legal Service Authority Kargil. The programme was attended by a large number of people, mainly women folk from the villages and advocates.
On the occasion, speakers threw light on rights of women and the constitutional guarantee of the same. The speakers included Chief Judicial Magistrate Manjeet Rai (Chairman of Tehsil Legal Services Committee), Additional Special Mobile Magistrate under 13th Finance commission, Phuntsog Angmoo, SPO Tsering Punchok, Advocate Talib Hussain, Advocate Stanzin Dachhom, Advocate Reyaz and Advocate Murtaza.
The Chairman of District Legal Service Authority and some local also spoke on the occasion and expressed their views on the topic.
The programme made the participants aware about rights of women and was worth imparting knowledge.
On conclusion of the programme, vote of thanks was presented by Advocate Talib Hussain.
