Lecturers’ Forum demands filling up of all vacant posts

JAMMU, June 1: An emergent meeting of All J&K Plus-2 Lecturers’ Forum was held through teleconferencing under the chairmanship of its president Deepak Sharma wherein the Forum demanded filling up of all Administrative posts lying vacant in the School Education Department.
In a statement issued here today, the Forum said that the various posts including Joint Directors, Principal SIE Jammu as well as SIE Kashmir, CEOs, DIET Principals and Principals of the Higher Secondary Schools were lying vacant since long time.
Deepak Sharma, president of the Forum said that they were happy that sixty new promotee Principals have been placed by the Administrative department but still about more than 150 Higher Secondary Schools were headless. “In most of the cases, a single Principal is holding the charge of a number of schools and thus finding it difficult to do justice especially due to the prevailing lockdown,” he added.
The Forum demanded that all promotees should be adjusted preferably in their respective division and leftovers may be posted in other division as per their seniority.
Forum further hoped that the practical shape would soon be given to Running Grade/ Time Bound Promotion and Induction Quota into KAS in favour of Plus-2 lecturers as promised by the Principal Secretary and regularisation orders of all the In-charge principals, 40 percent college quota and revocation of SRO-202 will also be issued soon.
Others who participated in teleconferencing were NS Jamwal, RS Slathia, Dr Sushma, Anil Sharma, Anwar Khan, Sanjay Bhagat, Pradeep Singh, Ashok Sharma, Jatinder Sethi, Fazal Hussain, Anis Ahmed, Imtiaz Qazmi, AR Giri and Ramesh Thakur.
