Leader of the Opposition

Sir,
The recent verdict of the masses has given absolute majority to the NDA and decimated opposition to the extent that no leader qualifies to be recognised as the Leader of the Opposition.
It has made speculations rife that speaker can relax rules to recognize UPA as a block or TMC and AIADMK can join hands to claim the post. Having a jibe at the Opposition recently, Narendra Modi said that coalition are stitched to form the Government but the parties would have  to huddle  together to cobble the opposition.
If it is mandatory to have a recognised  ‘Leader of the Opposition,” either the leader of the largest political party should be recognised as the leader of the Opposition without the rider of requisite numbers or Leader of the post poll alliance block. If the parties are allowed to join hands in post poll scenario to claim the post, it will set a wrong precedence and unhealthy trend in the future.
Yours etc…
