LCF, Concentrix to make Panjar a smarter village model in India

JAMMU, Sept 30: Love Care Foundation (LCF) a NGO of New Delhi and volunteers of Concentrix India a leading ITEs Company who are engaged in providing relief to the landslide victims of Saddal in Panjar village of Udhampur district today announced to adopt Panjar village for rehabilitation.
“We are adopting the village to develop it as a smarter village model in the country” Sanjay Dadroo, National Director Love Care Foundation and Raj Nehru, Associate Director, H R Concentrix India told reporters here.
“On priority basis, we will construct temporary sheds for 75 families of Saddal who were affected by the land slide to protect them from the rain and approaching Winter”, said Mr Nehru adding the plan has been discussed by them with both Divisional Commissioner Jammu and DC and other officers of Udhampur.
The Panjar village has 550 families out of which 121 have become the victims of nature’s devastation and there is lot of desperation among the survivors, said Mr Dadroo. “Their first priority is survival from chilly Winter and we have decided to construct the sheds at first place for them”, he added.
Later the team will adopt the Panjar village and construct a smarter village model there, said Mr Nehru, adding they will write the Government about their proposal and in case they will not get permission still the team will go ahead with its plan.
He said the team will dedicate its resources to develop this concept of smarter village. Nehru and Dadroo disclosed that they have traveled various flood hit areas of Jammu region also and distributed relief among affected families.
Concentrix highly believes in people centric and CSR activities, said Nehru, adding if NGO and Corporate Sector join hands they can change the fate of the Nation.
