LC passes two bills

JAMMU, Feb 1:  Legislative Council today passed two bills to amend the “Jammu and Kashmir Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act, 1998” and “Jammu and Kashmir General Sales Tax Act, 1962”.
The LA Bill No.1 of 2017 to amend  Jammu and Kashmir Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act, 1998 was moved by the Minister for Finance Dr. Haseeb A Drabu on behalf of Minister for Social Welfare. The Minister also moved LA Bill No. 2- 2017 to amend the Jammu and Kashmir General Sales Tax Act, 1962.
Both the bills were passed by the House with voice vote.
