SRINAGAR, Feb 1: Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President G A Mir today said that the internal bickering and contradiction in the approach of PDP-BJP led to the early Adjournment of the House (sine die), which is not only unfortunate but unconstitutional and Congress Party strongly condemns the early adjournment of the house before five days.
Mir was addressing a workers convention at Dooru Verinag today. Lashing out at Coalition Government for early adjournment of the House, Mir said apart from sacrificing urges and aspirations of the people, PDP-BJP Coalition due to their internal bickering forced the early adjournment of the House in order to avoid opposition in State Legislature, for the fact they are not able to face the opposition, but the Coalition partners can no longer betray the people on sensitive issues. He also termed this move of Speaker LA as unfortunate and highly condemnable.
Addressing the Party Workers, Mir said that Coalition Government has crossed all limits and even the State Legislature was not spared by them for the sake of remaining in power, he said.
Expressing concern over the problems confronting people in all the three regions, Mir said Congress party is committed to equitable development of all the three regions and it will continue to remain steadfast to serve the people of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh equally.
Mir said Congress will continue its fight against discrimination with people and is committed to resolution of the issues concerning them.
He said the performance of the Coalition Govt on ground is zero, for the fact, there was no improvement on the ground, unemployment has risen considerably, Government Departments are not functioning in way they should, as a result, the day today needs of the people remain un-attended and unaddressed, even road connectivity in rural area was not ensured, post snowfall and there were many other issue of public interest, such as electricity which also remained affected badly due to snow, which is an indicative of the of utter failure of the Government on all fronts.
He told the Party cadres to remain connected with the people and get to know the problems they are facing, as it is our bounden duty to struggle and fight for resolution of the issue concerning people.
