Lawyers to resume work from Monday

JAMMU, May 9: Lawyers under the banner of Jammu and Kashmir High Court Bar Association (JKHCBA), Jammu have called off their strike and decided to resume work in all the courts including Jammu wing of Jammu and Kashmir High Court from Monday.
This was disclosed by MK Bhardwaj, president, JKHCBA while interacting with media persons here this afternoon.
He said that after 22 days long strike over the suspension of SHO Gandhi Nagar and his two subordinates for manhandling Advocate Harshvardhan Gupta on April 16 in Nanak Nagar in full public view, JKHCBA called off their strike as the Government has ordered suspension of erring police officials.
“The members of the Association will abstain from appearance in the Courts tomorrow as a mark of respect on the untimely demise of a senior member of the JKHCBAJ Jagmohan Razdan”, he added.
