UDHAMPUR, May 9: Udhampur Police today arrested two drug peddlers and seized 17 kg poppy straw, which was being smuggled in a truck.
The seizure was made by SHO Udhampur Mahesh Sharma during a naka at Jakhani from a truck JK02W-4155. Driver of the truck and his associate, identified as Nasir of Udhampur and Maroof of Reasi were arrested while the vehicle was also seized.
A case in this regard has been registered in Udhampur Police Station under NDPS Act.
