JAMMU, Sept 23: Police today seized large quantity of poppy straw from fruit market, Narwal.
As per police sources, a police team from Narwal police post conducted a raid in fruit market Narwal and subjected a truck to checking.
During search, police recovered large quantity of poppy straw packed in fruit boxes, sources said, adding that the driver managed to escape from the spot.
However, senior police officers remained tight lipped over the incident for some unknown reasons.
