DODA, Mar 31: Police here today recovered a large quantity of illicit liquor from Dharyouth area of Gandoh.
Police sources informed that based on a specific information regarding manufacturing of illicit liquor, a Police team from Police Station Gandoh headed by Inspector Parvaiz Ahmed Khanday and assisted by PSI Parvez Ali raided the house of one Balwant Raj, son of Dina Nath, resident of Dharyouth and during the search, five litre illicit liquor and around 50 litre Lahan along with other things were recovered from the spot.
A case in FIR No. 20/2024 under relevant Sections of Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Gandoh in this regard and investigation started.
Doda Police has appealed to the general public to cooperate and assist cops so that drug smuggling, manufacturing and selling of illicit liquor and other crime related activities are rooted out from the society.
