JAMMU, Dec 2: A meeting of shopkeepers of Panjtirthi, Darbargarh, Mubarak Mandi Bazar, Kacchi Chowni, Chogan Slathia, Chowk Chubtra, Upper Bazar and Dhounthly Bazar was held to discuss the issues like traffic congestion, sanitation problem etc faced by the shopkeepers.
Shopkeepers in the meeting realized that they face because they have no association for themselves and they decided to form a welfare association.
This followed by Rajinder Singh proposing the name of Lalit Jain for the post of Association president and majority of shopkeepers agreed to this after which Lalit Jain became the first president of Panjtirthi Shopkeepers Welfare Association.
After this Jain announced his team with Sudesh Kumar, Shatrugan Jamwal, Sumeet Kholi, Rajinder Singh, Atul Jain, Parmodh Kumar, Subash Chander, Naresh Abrol as vice presidents; Raj Kumar and Kuldeep Mehta as general secretaries; Bharat Bhushan Gupta, Sanjay Jain, Naresh Gupta, Onkar, Raju, Vijay Kumar (Kala), Tarun Gandotra, Devinder Kumar (Chacha), Rajeev Sharma, Naresh Goswami, Madhur Arora, Sunil Nagpal, Ajay Jain and Rajesh Sharma as secretaries.
Rajeev Mangotra, Rajinder Singh (Bashi), Vinod Kumar, Subash Chander, Parmodh Kumar, Madan Singh, Gopal Sanotra, Gopal Mangotra, Vijay Kumar, Suresh Kumar Sharma, Rajeev Sharma, Sumeet Kholi, Atul Jain, Rajinder Singh Bandral, Sunit Jain, Bharat Bhushan Gupta, Raman Kumar and Tarseem Kumar were also present during the meeting.
