KATHUA, Jan 1: Minister for Health, Medical Education and ARI Trainings, Ch Lal Singh today paid obeisance at Mahanaal Shrine situated near Rajbagh in Kathua and prayed for peace in the State.
The Minister also held meeting with the management committee of the shrine and assured all amenities for the pilgrims.
Ch Lal Singh released a book on Mahanaal Shrine where CEO LSDA Dr Bharat Bhushan was also present.
While speaking on the occasion, Ch Lal Singh said the projects related to road connectivity, drinking water and tourist amenities will be taken up to facilitate pilgrims with smooth access to the shrine.
Meanwhile, the Minister also held a grievance camp and listened to the problems of the people.
Ch Lal Singh said the BJP-PDP alliance is working on a well knit plan of development keeping in mind the aspirations of people. He said Government has prioritized road connectivity in rural and far flung areas for which projects worth Rs 3600 crore under PMGSY will be taken up to improve the connectivity scenario. He said road connectivity is vital and instrumental in easing out the difficulties in the lives of the people.
The Minister in response to the projected issues by the people passed instructions to the concerned district heads to mitigate the grievances of the people at the earliest. He exhorted upon the officers to ensure awareness of all Government schemes among rural people to cover target beneficiaries. He called upon the members of PRIs to be proactive in counselling and educating the people of their respective Panchayats to avail the benefits of various flagship schemes and programmes of the Central and State Government.
Responding to the demand of electric poles, the Minister passed directions to XEn PDD to issue the poles and ensure power supply in un-electrified habitations at the earliest. He directed AEE PHE to ensure repair of water supply pipes. The Minister also directed CEO Kathua to provide staff for the school. He also directed Health Department to ensure staff for Ayurvedic dispensary.
